NOVEMBER IS PANCREATIC CANCER AWARENESS MONTH!

Pancreatic cancer is the 4th leading cause of cancer death in the U.S.  There are no early detection tools, few treatment options, and no cure.  I started "PanCAN for Jan" in 2007 to honor my Mom, Janice R. Sheldon, and to help raise pancreatic cancer awareness.  I, along with my family, knew nothing about pancreatic cancer until our Mom passed away ONE WEEK after diagnosis in August 2007 (less than 4 months after this picture was taken).

Family and friends will meet at Queen of Peace Grammar School in North Arlington, NJ on Saturday, November 7, 2009, at 1:00 p.m. for the "3rd Annual PanCAN for Jan" - a memorial walk and fundraiser.  Please join us and WEAR PURPLE to show your support!
