This is a family affair, with five Dahlmans and one fiance running in Columbus, Ohio, on Oct. 21. Hank, Sarah, and Jim are going for the full marathon, while Rachael (D.) Warf, Amanda, and her intended, Josh Nieman, are running the half. (Our motto: "Dahlminating marathons since 2012." Thanks for that, Amanda.) Altogether, we'll cover 117.9 miles that day. Multiply by 10, and you have our fundraising goal.
We're raising money to support research aimed at a cure for Huntington's disease, an inherited, degenerative, and ultimately fatal neurological disease. At least 30,000 Americans have the disease, and at least another 100,000 are at risk. (As you may know, HD is part of our family's story.) All donations will go to the Huntington's Disease Society of America.
So thank you for visiting our fundraising page. Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to make a contribution to our fundraising efforts for HDSA. Many thanks for your support -- and don't forget to forward this to anyone who you think might want to donate too!
Best wishes.
Amanda, Hank, Josh, Rachael, Sarah, Jim
