Thank you for visiting my Personal Fundraising Page. Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to make a contribution to my fundraising efforts. Many thanks for your support -- and don't forget to forward this to anyone who you think might want to donate too!
I will be doing the Polar Plunge (Freezin' for a Reason) at Chatfield reservoir on December 5. I'll go swimming in the frigid waters, regardless of if it's frozen or not, in nothing but a speedo....and I'll provide photographic evidence that the deed is done.
It is estimated there are nearly 100,000 people with intellectual disabilities in Colorado, my daughter, Holly, is one of them. Holly has Autism, and the opportunities provided by Special Olympics has greatly added to her quality of life, as well as the quality of life for the 10,000 athletes supported by the program statewide. Special Olympics gives them continuing opportunities to develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage, experience joy and participate in a sharing of gifts, skills and friendships with their families, other Special Olympics athletes and the community.
Special Olympics is a volunteer driven organization, and accepts no United Way funding. Keeping these opportunities available to these Special Athletes is dependent upon the generosity of donors like you. On behalf of my family and Special Olympics, I thank you for your donation....or paying me to swim in the 40 degree water.
