Team Fiona
Come walk with us on September 21st to raise money for the Down Syndrome Association of Minnesota. The walk is full of celebration and smiles. You can register at www.dsamn.org if you are going to walk. Fiona will be crawling around Lake Como for sure, but hopefully she will be walking. She has been working very hard at walking and managing her balance.
The money raised provides information, resources and support to individuals with Down syndrome, their families and their communities. This organization has been a wonderful resource for our family. We would like to thank everyone who walks and/or donates to DSAMN.
"People with Down Syndrome have a different view of life. They seem to be able to detect the essential elements of life, and by their frankness and lack of social niceties they can cut through many formalities, disarm us from our prejudice and get to the heart of relationships. Jean Vanier, taking a person with Down's Syndrome to a wide beach in France, asked him to draw a picture of joy in the sand. This person responded, "the beach is not big enough." Philip G.
