Joanna Padden's Fundraising Page
Thank you for visiting my page! In April I will be running the Boston Marathon as part of the John Hancock employee training program. This year we are running to raise money for the Fund for Boston Neighborhoods, which is a non-profit organization that sponsors at risk youth by providing them with summer jobs in
Boston. This program not only has great benefits for the students, but also for the community.
The goal of this program is to provide students with the opportunity to gain professional experience and to learn valuable lessons in the areas of structure, confidence building, and leadership skills. Participation in the program will provide the students with mentors, expose them to role models, and will provide the opportunity to establish contacts that will help them in their professional development. The program also benefits the community by helping to reduce crime, reduce dependence on government services, and support the completion of valuable projects.
Our goal is to each raise $1,500, which will not be possible without your support. Donating through this website is simple, fast, and completely secure. It is also the most efficient way to support our fundraising efforts.
As the Boston Marathon approaches I will periodically update the website to let you know how my training is progressing.
Many thanks for your support - and don't forget to forward this to anyone who you think might want to donate too!
