Hello Friends-
Most of you know a year ago this past October I lost my wonderful mother to breast cancer. My mom had beed diagnosed years before, went into remission, but had it come back in full force. She fought hard, and we were lucky to have her as long as we did. Through all this time, my mom and our family was supported by the wonderful staff from the breast center at UMASS Hospital in Worcester. It is because of the support they gave to my mom, I decided to give back to them. I joined the up with the PINK Revolution, a breast cancer alliance. They support the team of doctors, researchers, nurses, patients, and more of the UMASS Breast center. Check them out on facebook!!!!
Last year, I organized the fist annual Bosom or Bust 5k in memory of Gail Rowe. We were able to raise over $10,000 that was given to reaserchers doing amazing research here in our back yard!!!
I am happy to say we are coming back for the second annual Bosom or Bust! It will be May 5th here in Marlboro. this year the money raised is going to support patients whose health insurance doesn't cover many needed medical items!!! I am very excited to see the money raised to go directly to the patients care. If you are un able to race, or even if you can race and want to donate more, here is where you can do that.
Thank you for giving!!! I know breast cancer has affected all of us in many different ways.
