Last year was my first experience with Bowling for Boobies® and it was wonderful. Bowling for Boobies® supports the Busted Foundation which is a fundraising organization that financially supports women who are dealing with breast cancer. One in eight women will be diagnosed with breast cancer in her lifetime . Unfortunately we all know a Mom, an Aunt, a Grandmom, a sister or a friend who contributes to these statistics. Even scarier did you know that many expenses incurred by these women to conquer this disease are not covered – leaving many of these survivors in financial ruins. Some of the numerous expenses can include...unpaid medical bills, lost work time and childcare needs while struggling with cancer treatments. Surviving cancer is emotionally stressful and does not need to be compounded by insurmountable financial burdens. From this unmet need the Busted Foundation was founded and Bowling for Boobies® was started as its yearly flagship fundraising event.
