9th Annual Imagine Walk and Family Fun Day for Autism
Hi Everyone,
I can't believe it's time for the 9th annual Imagine Walk! How time flies! We are running out of colors for t-shirts quickly. This year we will be Orange. Pat has a plan for the next 10 years that includes all colors, though I'm not sure there are t-shirts that color.
It's been a big year for our family. The boys continue to grow and grow up. Mike is a junior at Marist, Dan is a junior at Hendricken and Pat is a sophomore at EG. They are all doing well.
Pat is now officially the tallest in the family, shaving and wondering when he too will drive. Sigh. I told him maybe later. While Pat continues to amaze us each year with his growth, I'm not sure about keys to a car. Plus I think I'm still recovering from teaching Danny!
As you know, the Autism Project is dear to my heart. I've been involved with the organization for more than 10 years and can say Patrick would not be as independent and successful if it weren't for the team at the Project. Their research, programs, support and commitment to Pat and others is amazing. We now help more than 5,000 people each year, 300 kids attend our social groups and close to 90 attend our summer camp and just this month, six of our courses were approved for Graduate Level courses at Johnson & Wales University. Yes, you can call me Dean Quinn:).
The phone never stops ringing. Unfortunateyl our state is broke, our commercial insurance companies don't care and the kids and families still need help. I ask you again to consider a donation. Our team is one of the most generous group of people I have ever known and your support means the world to all of us.
If you are in RI on April 10, come on down to Goddard Park. The t-shirts are in the usual place.
Thank you all so much.
