Give the gift of breastfeeding help and support to a mother and baby who cannot afford to pay for help
There are MANY advantages of breastmilk to both mother and baby, many of which really do last a lifetime.
Here is what your gift can do for breastfeeding moms:
$25 provides the gift of a two-hour clinic visit by a peer counselor to present breastfeeding information to expectant mothers waiting for their doctor visit. This clinic visit may be the time when an expectant mom decides to breastfeed her baby because of what she learns from the peer counselor. The decision to breastfeed your baby is the first step to providing the healthiest start to his or her life!
$50 provides the gift of a one-hour office consultation with a breastfeeding peer counselor for a mother and a baby having difficulty with breastfeeding. This one-hour consultation is likely all she'll need to overcome difficulties and have a successful breastfeeding relationship.
$100 provides the gift of a 90-minute in-home visit by a breastfeeding peer counselor to a mother and a baby having difficulty with breastfeeding. Again, this home visit is likely to solve all breastfeeding problems so she may have a successful breastfeeding relationship.
$250 provides the gift of a two-hour Breastfeeding Basics class for 10 mothers receiving written material to take home followed up with one telephone call to each mother. This includes classes given at the Hawthorne High School, Charlotte Pregnancy Resource Center, and Florence Crittenton.
$500 provides the gift of one month of 24 hour coverage of our breastfeeding telephone support line.
$1000 provides the gift of complete breastfeeding support for two families which would include a Basics of Breastfeeding class and materials, follow-up telephone calls for the first six months of breastfeeding, two in-home visits, two office visits, and the breastfeeding celebrations at the breastfeeding milestones of six weeks, three months, and six months.
