Jerome Family Autism Fundraising Walk
Hello Friends and Family,
On April 10th, 2010, Danielle, Juliette, Jacqueline and I will be walking for Autism. We are looking to you for sponsorship. Last time for this event we raised $965 for the cause with donations made to our personal page. Personal thanks go to all of our friends and family's who generously contributed.
We would like to extend a special thanks to the IGT company who donated both as a company and with personal contributions from employees.
This year our goal is to hit $1,000.
Our lives have been touched through the hardships of our friends and family who have struggled to develop and nuture their children who have been born with developmental diseases, in particular autism.
The autism spectrum is wide and has varying degrees of severity and difficulty of treating. In most cases it can be disabling for both a child who suffers with it and their family.
I personally have a very special person in my life who has Aspergers Syndrome and have seen first hand the difficulties it has presented for many years. And I have witnessed how a lack of awareness and missed diagnosis has caused pain and damage.
In addition to Pete and Denise we have several close friends as well who have young children with autism. This is what moves us to ask you for your donations as we walk as a family in memory for Liam Bradley the son of Denise and Pete who passed away.
He was born with severe autism. His parents put their blood sweat and tears into his development and well being, just like many parents who deal with this disorder.
By showing your support to this cause you will help the unborn, the children born with this disease and personally the Bradley family and "Liam's Legacy".
