My sister Jennifer Allen is an active member in the NKF and lives with Focal Segmental Glomerulosclerosis, or FSGS.  She is the reason for running/fundraising for this organization and event.  Jen was diagnosed with FSGS while in High School and has undergone two kidney transplants.  Both of my parents have donated their kidneys for my sister, but the doctors handling her health are against transplanting my kidney.  She is currently on dialysis in hopes to transplant once again in the next few months.  Jen has an outstanding group of friends & family members that have been tested and are willing to give the ‘gift of life’ without hesitation. 

Since I am unable to share the ‘gift of life’ with my sister I cannot think of a better opportunity to support and hopefully make a difference by meeting my personal fundraising goal.

I have been issued an official Boston Marathon bib number through the NKF and will be running the Marathon with my Uncle Dave Miles.  We'll be proudly wearing official race shirts with the Kidney Monkeys Logo shown, as Team NKF.
