Joe Reidy's Fundraising Page
This is the 15th year I have participated in this trek. The best I have done in a single year is 80 miles of the 160 mile trek and that was a few years ago. My goal is 50 miles this year. I will use any excuse to stop pedaling like rain, wind, flat tire etc. Oh yeah, my main excuse is that I have to ride with a container of oxygen strapped to my bike and a cannula shoved my nose.
Why do I do it?
One reason is because it is fun!
The main reason that I do it is for my grand kids. Three of the five are in the accompanying picture.
I have Alpha-1 Antitrypsin Deficiency.
Should any of them inherit this genetic condition I want to say I worked toward finding the cure.
Your contributions can only help! For all those that supported our efforts last year, a much belated thank you. For those who didn’t, here’s another chance. No amount is too small or too large. All proceeds will go to the Alpha-1 Foundation for funding research to find a cure.
Pictured in Ft. Lee Historic Park (GWB background) are:
Kristen, Brendan, Michael, and Joey
Mary and Alex,
Me and Johnny (grandsons are underlined)
Not pictured is our only granddaughter, Star and the infant, Thomas who is five months old.
