Joe Reidy's Fundraising Page
Thank you for visiting my Personal Fundraising Page. Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to make a contribution to our fundraising efforts. Many thanks for your support-- and don't forget to forward this to anyone who you think might want to donate too!
I believe this is the 16th year I have participated in this Trek. The best I have done in a single year is 80 miles of the 160 mile trek and that was a few years ago. My goal is 60 miles this year. But I am a scoundrel. I will use any excuse to stop pedaling like rain, wind, flat tire etc. Oh yeah, my main excuse is that I have to ride with a container of oxygen strapped to my bike and a cannula shoved my nose.
Why do I do it?
One reason is because it is fun!
The main reason is the I do it for my grand kids. Three of the four are in the accompanying picture. Missing is my youngest Brendan. I have Alpha-1 Antitrypsin Deficiency. Should any of them inherit this genetic condition I want to say worked toward finding the cure. Your contributions can only help!
This year my daughter, Mary Swanson, will accompany me to the Cape. She too is raising money to find a cure. Mary asks that you donate here in her name.
Thanks again,
Joe
