Asheville Humane Society

2008 Walk for the Animals - Asheville Humane Society

Joel and Hershey are asking for your support . . .

Hi, Family and Friends,

Thank you so much for coming to my fundraising page again!

This is the third year that Hershey and I are participating in the "Walk for the Animals". But this year is really exciting for us, because Hershey has been invited to be the official Spokes Pet  for the event!

Hershey is a smart, fun little dog who keeps busy through his pet therapy work, agility, rally, and musical canine dance. But sadly, there are too many animals out there that don't get the love and care Hershey does. . . animals who have been abused, neglected and abandoned.

The "Walk for the Animals" originally began as an effort to create awareness of the relationship between animal abuse and domestic violence. Today it continues to provide education and adoption services to the community, while promoting the respectful and humane treatment of our lesser creatures.

Proceeds from this event will be used to supply much needed services and shelter for those pets that have no home.

Donating through this website is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to support my fundraising efforts.

The walk is open to everyone. So grab your partner, kids, friends (and of course, your dog) and come on out and join Hershey and myself. We'd love to see you there.
         Saturday,  April 26 - 9:00AM - 1:00PM,  Biltmore Estate

It promises to be a lot of fun, with many activities and super-star supporter, Andie MacDowell

Again, many thanks for your support --    Joel and Hershey
