There is a reason we call our athletes "Special" Olympians.  It is NOT because of there "special needs" but because of their unique ability to make those around them feel special when you take time to appreciate them and recognize their abilities.  Their smiles, hugs, and words are sincere and their effort is always pure.  They may not always comprehend the "big picture" but they certainly understand appreciation for honest effort.  For most of them - it's all they know how to give.  Please appreciate my pain & suffering with a contribution to a great program through this secured site or mailing a check payable to Special Olympics to:
