Dear Polar Plunge Donors,

I would like to take this opportunity to say thank you for you support on the behalf of Special Olympics Iowa and the athletes they serve. It is with great pleasure and appreciation of your donations in kind that enables me help to support such an effort to raise funds for the Iowa program. With all of your donations you have helped to support the athletics in Iowa to strive to do their best in all competitions that they dare to encounter. Many of our athletics participate in district and state competitions through out the year in such events as bowling, basketball, bocce ball, track and field, roller skating, ice skating gymnastics, weight lifting, cheerleading swimming and golf, wheel chair events, race walking, cycling, equestrian events, soccer, softball volleyball.
The polar plunge is a pledge donation in which I especially enjoy the crasiness of the creativity of the teams in designing costumes and the fun of getting together to perform such a crazy task of jumping into the balmy waters of Brown’s Lake. Believe me it is numbing cold and everyone is glad when their turn is over but it is such a daring way to raise funds for Special Olympics that make it fun and filling day for all who participate.
So it is with great appreciation and thankfulness that I say THANKYOU for your generous donation to help all of our athletes.
