Hello Penguin Plunge Proponents, Another New Year, another Penguin Plunge expedition! This will be my sixth year of basking in the oh-so-chilly-willy waters of Vermont's Lake Champlain, as I raise funds for the Special Olympics organization. My temporary inconvenience, including skin that turns a lovely shade of purple, is nothing compared to the physical challenges those brave athletes face as they train to compete on the field of play and to better their day-to-day lives. It may be unseasonably warm this winter, but the Lake Champlain water still carries severe shrivel factor potential and there's still a month for the lake to freeze.
