I'm a veteran of the Boston Renegades Beepball team and all of you who know me understand what being a part of this team means to me. As a high school athlete, I became discouraged when I lost my sight and couldn't play basketball as part of a team. I missed the experiences of sharing both wins and losses with my teammates and the feeling of accomplishment when we all worked together toward a goal. Beepball gave all this back to me. I enjoy the camaraderie I share with my great (sometimes crazy!) teammates, the athleticism of the sport, and the spirit of all these great players that don't let disabilities become disabling.
