This winter, I am taking part in my first Polar Plunge to raise money
for the Michigan Special Olympics. On the 11th of February I am actually
going to get into my bathing suit and jump into an ice capped frozen
lake in Traverse City. For the past 4 years, I have volunteered with
the Area 2 Michigan Special Olympics, coaching and working at various
activities and meets. I have a personal interest in the SO's because my
sister, Sophie, has often been a participant. (Go Sophie!) With a team
of 9 other Student Senate members, I am working to raise funds for this
