Hello friends and family: 

It has been 10 years since my last marathon, and it's time I got some exercise!!  I am excited to have joined the World Vision team to run the Seafair Rock and Roll Marathon in Seattle on June 27th, to raise funds for that great organization's efforts around the world.

It is through friends like you that I hope to raise $1 or so for each of my 26.2 miles, and I will match whatever total I raise, up to $2,620 total.  We can do it!  All gifts we make will go directly to support the efforts of World Vision workers in communities with the most critical needs.  Those workers walk marathons every day to help others!!  I have supported World Vision for over 20 years and what I love about them is that they provide a lasting and selfless kind of care through their great workers in the field.       

World Vision works to tackle the root causes of poverty by working with children, families, and their communities to provide things like clean water, health care, nutritious food, education, and economic opportunities.
