On April 28th I will celebrate the 12th anniversary of my transplant. I'd like to tell you   about my donor. Her name was Paula and she was a vibrant, energetic, and lovely lady. She loved horses. She had a wonderful family who told me that she gave multiple organs when she passed away suddenly. She lived in the Columbus Ohio area and as I found out later her husband worked right up the road from my facility  in Gahanna, Ohio. Several years after my transplant I had the pleasure of meeting Paula's husband and daughter. Some time after that my family and hers got together for lunch.. Her husband and daughter's family live in the suburban Chicago area. Her sister lives near Atlanta Georgia. Thank the Lord for my donor and her family as well as all donors who have given such a precious gift so others, like me, can live on.
