John Copeland's Fundraising Page
My name is John Copeland, in June 2009 I finally meet my perfect match, we had alot in common and liked all the same things. it was love at first sight with a storry book ending. Then just 2 weeks after getting engaged and planning a June wedding for 2010, Aston started dropping things, falling down, and poor memory.
Ashton was adopted and though she knew her birth mother had Huntington's, she was never exposed to it or knew of the early onset of syptoms and neither did her adoptive parents.
Aftergetting tested we waited for a month for the results, with her parents with us at the doctor's office we got the news. together we left the doctors office and went and picked out the wedding dress.
We were married in October outdoors in the Rose Garden at Woodwared park. I know that Ashton is my other half, and after waiting so long to find her, I cherish ever moment with her and am thankful for the great joy that she fills in my spirit.
I am now on a great quest to do all I can in helping to further the reasearch and education in battleing this disease. I know that the more we come together in this cause , the faster we as the human race can overcome Huntingtons and many other illness as well.
Please support funding for the research to find a cure. For it is through research and education that we can make a difference in the lives of our fellow man.
