Vito was very concerned about the lack of funding for Pancreatic Cancer research and became involved, along with his family, in raising money and awareness after he was diagnosed.  From his perspective it was very troubling that Pancreatic Cancer gets a fraction of the funding that other forms of cancer receive.  Vito felt that early diagnosis and cutting edge research, as well as increased government funding, are of the utmost importance.

Vito courageously battled Pancreatic Cancer for 29 months and felt very strongly about spreading the message that you cannot and should not give up when you are diagnosed with this illness.  As with any disease, you must take control and not let it control you.  There is always hope out there and through the generosity of your contribution, we can make a difference.
