When I learned that 49 million Americans go hungry, including 16 million children, and many Haitian children like my friend here, I decided to do something about it. I'm going to participate in the 2011 Greater Lafayette Hunger Hike on September 18, and I hope you will support me. I'm excited to be a part of this annual effort which raises funds for three anti-hunger programs in my community: Lafayette Urban Ministry, Food Finders Food Bank, and St. Tom’s Haiti Ministry.
