When I learned that 36 million Americans go hungry, including 13 million children, I decided to do something about it.  I'm going to participate in the 2009 Greater Lafayette Hunger Hike on September 20, and I hope you will support me.  I'm excited to be a part of this annual effort which raises funds for three anti-hunger programs in my community: Lafayette Urban Ministry, Food Finders Food Bank, and St. Thomas Aquinas Haiti Committee.  I've been part of the Haiti Committee for 4 years, and am the past president.  The poverty in Haiti is hard to describe.
