John Ginda's 2010 Fundraising Page
Hunger is a huge problem in the US and world wide. As many as 49 million Americans go hungry, including 16 million children. In Haiti, the majority of people don't have regular meals, and severe malnutrition is commonplace. For many children, their only regular meal is a school lunch like the one my friend here receives at the school St Tom's supports in Baudin, Haiti. I'm going to participate in the 2010 Greater Lafayette Hunger Hike on September 19 to help fight hunger here in Lafayette and in Haiti, and I hope you will support me. I'm excited to be a part of this annual effort which raises funds for three anti-hunger programs in my community: Lafayette Urban Ministry, Food Finders Food Bank, and St. Tom’s Haiti Ministry. My personal goal is to raise $1000. Please consider donating $10, $25 or $50, but any amount you can give will help. Please dig deep and donate to me online. Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. All donations are tax-deductible. Thank you for visiting my fundraising page. I really appreciate it. If I raise enough, I might even win a prize! But more importantly, together we will be helping hungry children and families. You can learn more about hunger and about what I'll be doing on September 19 by going to the Hunger Hike website (www.hungerhike.org). Thanks!
