Touch Foundation is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to the training, placement and retention of healthcare workers in Sub-Saharan Africa, where every day people are dying needlessly due to lack of sufficient medical professionals. Impact and Results: *Touch Foundation as helped grow a Tanzanian Medical University in Mwanza from 10 MD students in 2004 to over 590 MDs currently in training - at present the school has 1,300 healthcare students across 12 cadres. *From inception, Touch is responsible for graduating 150 doctors and over 1,300 allied healthcare professionals. *These healthcare professionals are now able to bring their newly acquired skills home to their communities. Over the course of their careers they will save many precious lives.
