The mission of the Autism Society of the Greater Capital Region, New York is to promote lifelong access and opportunities and to improve the quality of life for people on the autism spectrum and their families so they can be fully participating, included members of their communities. We do this through; advocacy, public awareness, education, compassionate support, and research related to autism. The the Autism Society of the Greater Capital Region, New York supports families across twelve counties in New York State whose lives have been touched by autism. The chapter provides educational seminars and materials, support groups, and we maintain a web site at www.albanyautism.org. For our members we offer conference stipends, family events, and a lending library. One of the major goals for the the Autism Society of the Greater Capital Region, New York is to be the hub for the autism community - We are a Voice and Resource of the Autism Community.
