Thank you for visiting my Polar Plunge fundraising page. They say anyone with a little guts and a warm heart can take the Plunge and I am one of those folks. I’m collecting pledges from family, friends, co-workers and anyone else who wants to support the more than 22,000 athletes of Special Olympics Illinois! Your donations will help provide athletes with intellectual disabilities the chance to participate in year-round sports training and competition.

To reward your generosity, I’m going to join over 3,600 people statewide who will voluntarily jump into freezing cold water in the middle of winter as we take part in the Law Enforcement Torch Run Polar Plunges for Special Olympics Illinois.

Last year it was a balmy 70 degrees the day of the plunge. I am looking forward to experiencing a colder day so I can say I participated in a POLAR plunge. I really appreciate your contributions and will hopefully be able to send out photos after the event is complete.
