This is my eighth year to participate in the Polar Bear Plunge to benefit Special Olympics athletes in our area. Basically, the plungers raise money for Special Olympics by going into the Crimson Villa pools at Ford and Rouse in February no matter the weather. COLD COLD COLD!!! The Polar Bear Plunge is scheduled to take place on Saturday, February 14, 2009 at the Crimson Villas Apt Complex.  The Plunge will kick off at 12:00 (noon).  I would like to encourage you to come out and watch us plunge into the cold waters.  I would also like to challenge some of you to come out and plunge along side of me.  Because hey lets face it... when else would you have the opportunity to plunge into freezing cold water without dying... Yes it's cold... but it only lasts for a short amount of time!!!  As George Costanza says "Do women know about Shrinkage"

Last year was our second year to have the plunge in Pittsburg and we exceeded our fundraising goal.  We are hoping to do the same this year with your help and support.  I would not continue to do this if it wasn't fun...but also...if I didn't believe in the organization and their mission.  Thank you in advance for your continued support and dedication to Special Olympics Kansas.   Thank you for visiting my Personal Fundraising Page.
