Thank you for visiting my fundraising page for INSULINDEPENDENCE!
Donating through this website is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to support my fundraising efforts.
The Leadville 100 is a 100 mile ultramarathon in Leadville, Co (elevation 10,000)
Goal:
Complete Leadville 100 with fellow diabetic endurance fanatic, Peter Nerothin.
It is our goal to raise $10,000 each, in $10 increments.
I met Peter Nerothin a little over 1 year ago. Peter quickly became one of my closest friends as we both loved to push the limits of endurance, and HAVE to do so with diabetes. Peter and I have run multiple races together, including competing in Ironman Wisconsin with the Triabetes Project.
Both Peter and I serve on the board of Insulindependence, and have a goal of helping people with diabetes, help themselves. Please visit Insulindependence.org, Triabetes.org, and Phrendo.com to learn more about our goals and the progress we are making in revolutionizing the way people approach diabetes.
While we happily accept donations of greater amounts, we want to reach, at a minimum, 1,000 people, and make them aware of our efforts. We are taking a low profile, viral approach to raising these funds. If you know someone who might be interested in supporting our efforts, please help us reach our goal.
To date, Peter and I are aware of only two other people with diabetes that have ever completed a 100 mile race. One other, to our knowledge has completed the Leadville 100. Bill Carlson, fellow Triabetes athlete, is that man. Peter and I want to join Bill's company as Leadville 100 finishers.
Donations are accepted online, through this first giving page, direct donations to
