Mary Isaak, my friend and co-founder of
COTS, died recently after a lifetime of service.
The Mary Isaak Center is named after Mary.
One of the homeless women here said, "I live at Mary's house." That touched me--I was happy that this woman had a place to call home, and that she really felt Mary's support for her.
So, I think of The Mary Isaak Center as "Mary's House." We accomplish some wonderful things here with people who often have been homeless for decades before coming to us:
Mary's Emergency Shelter for Single Adults:
80% test negative for alcohol/illegal drugs their entire stay
75% of work eligible adults find employment
32% move into permanent or transitional housing
Mary's Transitional Housing:
95% remain in recovery and test negative for illegal drugs/alcohol
100% have income
65% are employed
95% move into permanent housing when they leave COTS
We need your help to keep Mary's vision alive, and to keep Mary's House--The Mary Isaak Center--running strong.
