I would first of all like to thank you for visiting my donation page. Any contribution to PanCAN helps, and even the smallest donations are greatly appreciated. On Monday, September 4th my Aunt Fran fell victim to Pancreatic Cancer after only a few months of being diagnosed. Eddie and I had this ride planned for over a month and this tragedy only increased its relevance. If you don't know someone with Pancreatic Cancer it's more than likely that you know someone with another type. On September 18, Eddie D'Agostino and I set out on a bicycle trip starting in Oberlin, Ohio and we arrived at the San Francisco Bay on October 28, a distance of over 3,000 miles. I hope Eddie and I helped to represent, recognize and inspire anyone who suffers either directly or indirectly from the disease while helping to spread some awareness of just how devestating it really is. UPDATE!!!
San Francisco, California. We made it!
We woke this morning to a fine breakfast prepared by Mama Hurley, then shipped off around 10:00 to complete the adventure. We headed up the coast and continued around the city, past the Golden Gate bridge, until we ended up at the Ferry Building, where we were greeted by a welcoming commitee who gave us much-appreciated flowers and praise! Emily Dobbins is hosting a halloween party here at her amazing apartment in the Mission District and we look forward to gettin' ghoulish tonight to celebrate our accomplishment. Thanks to everyone who came out to congratulate us today, as well as all who have been supportive of us for the entirety of our trip. Everyone who was so kind and giving along the way, we won't forget your generosity and it is so comforting to know that there are such wonderful people out there. Now, if we can just get back home... we miss you Oberlin!
