Running 50 for my 40. What better way to close my fourth decade than by helping to provide opportunity for less fortunate kids? Aim High has been assisting Bay Area students with the critical transition from middle school to high school for 25 years. The group operates a five-week summer program to keep students from low-income families engaged in the learning process: challenging them, but making it fun. Michelle and I have supported Aim High for several years. Two years ago I ran my first ultramarathon to raise funds for Aim High. This year, I plan to run the Dick Collins Firetrails 50 Mile Race two weeks before my 40th birthday. Fifty miles will be a whole new kind of adventure for me. Cheers to the folks at GU Energy for their help with this endeavor.
On behalf of the kids at Aim High, thank you very much for your support.
