Ground Zero will always represent GORUCK’s origins, so when the Challenge comes to NYC – and we have been back often – it has special meaning for us.

The Challenge’s roots are the fraternal ways of Special Forces, and the Special Forces way is to celebrate the life of fallen heroes no matter what. We see this NYC 9/11 Challenge weekend similarly – a time to be together, share and honor the best of the city and its people, and do it our way.

There is a special GORUCK Tough patch for NYC 9/11. Of course it will never be for sale, and it will only be available to those who earn it this weekend.

$10 of every GORUCK Challenge registration goes to benefit the Green Beret Foundation, but for this NYC 9/11 Challenge we’re asking you to help us raise more for a cause near and dear to our hearts. Especially for those taking the Challenge, please set up a fundraising page here. We would ask you to try to raise $500. For those who do, we will have a small token of appreciation – in the form of GBF gear, that we’ll give you at the start of your Challenge. We can’t wait to see you there.
