Scleroderma was a word 13 years ago and never in my mind I would hear it much less that be diagnosed with it.   Then be told by a doctor I had approximately 5 years to live.  WELL ANYONE WHO KNOWS ME AT ALL KNOWS I WAS NOT GOING TO STAND FOR THIS!

Here we are 13 years later and having my problems but with the help of Bill, family and friends and of course our cat and dog I am getting along.  OF COURSE, I HAVE THE BEST DOCTORS EVER AND THEY DO NOT BELIEVE IN FAILURE.

We are currently working for more money for research and treatments.  We have come closer to DNA markers, possible cure in mice and more treatments for our patients.  And we are doing this with a small (by comparison) amount of funding from the National Institutes of Health (NIH).  This is so important to us.
