Another year has passed and we are preparing for the 5th annual Jessica Reif walk/run at Creve Coeur Park on Sunday, September 19, 2010. . A donation of $25 per person registers you for the event. Please state how many people are attending and their t-shirt size. There will be a light breakfast and later a bbq with hot dogs available for purchase. Please try come out and meet new people that are living with this disease. We will have many raffle baskets, silent auction items, and activities for the kids and hopefully cool weather for walking. If you cannot attend please mark your contribution as a walk donation.
This event is the Missouri chapter's single revenue-generating event making your support very important! All money collected stays in Missouri for Missouri patients! The only hurdle we face in finding a cure for Scleroderma is research dollars!
Many new things are happening in Scleroderma research. DNA patterns, improvements with medications, new medications, new clinical trials all will help find a cure for scleroderma. Your contribution goes to funding this research.
Another way we generate interest and research is through advocating with elected officials on both the State and Federal levels. On September 11, 2010 the House of Representatives are going to vote on H.R. 2408. If passed it will lead to more Federal research dollars allocated to scleroderma.
