Hello Everyone!

It's that time of year again!  We are looking forward to the Sprint for Life Walk for ovarian cancer research on May 5, 2012. This event is tremendously important in raising funds to research new treatments and a cure for ovarian cancer and we are still a long way from that goal.  If you would like to walk with me you can sign up on-line under JoJo's Team or by giving me a call. I would like to thank everyone for your help and prayers. It has been a very long battle for our family, first with ovarian cancer and now  in my lymph nodes but I will keep fighting and I will win.

Ovarian cancer is the leading cause of death among gynecologic cancers. In over 75% of cases, it is not detected until it has already progressed to an advanced stage. This year alone, about 22,000 women in the U.S. will be diagnosed with ovarian cancer and over 15,000 women will die. Research is needed, especially in the realm of early detection and treatment of recurrent disease.
