2 weeks until 26.2 miles for Africa!!!

Only two more weeks until Chris and I join thousands of others running for Africa on Team World Vision. Thanks to so many of you who have already been praying and donating. If you still want a chance, it's not too late!

World Vision works to tackle the root causes of poverty by working with children, families, and their communities to provide things like clean water, health care, nutritious food, education, and economic opportunities.

Chris and I are participating in the Chicago Marathon, October 11, 2009. We have sponsored a child through World Vision for a number of years and have followed their efforts at helping those most in need around the world.

Committing ourselves to this marathon is a very small way we can do something more... to challenge ourselves to go beyond our comfort levels and remind ourselves that helping others will always push us beyond what we think we can do.

God has so freely given and in some small way this is way we can give back.
