Jon Coleman's Fundraising Page
The past few years I've had the occasional privilege of working along side the wonderful men and women at the University of Michigan Transplant Center transporting medical teams on organ recovery missions. These trips seem more rewarding when you know that a child will be receiving the gift of life. Along with this gift are multiple new challenges all these children face that continue to interrupt the fun of just being a kid. Even attending a summer camp can be a challenge due to the special needs and medical treatment required after receiving a transplant.
Camp Michitanki was created as a place where these kids can get away for a week and enjoy the benefits of camp. The camp costs around $800 per child, but this cost is covered by the generous donations of others.
So, I am asking all of you to consider making a donation to Camp Michitanki. I will attempt to "earn" this donation by participating in a 50 mile trail run on September 26th. The total distance must be covered in 15 hours and I am not guaranteeing I will finish. However, I do guarantee that I will give it my all.
Thank you for your support. Below are some links that provide more information about Camp Michitanki and the University of Michigan Transplant Center.
