Julie's Family Learning Program
Ira, Max, Colleen, and Valerie have picked up the torch and are running the Boston Marathon for Julie’s Family Learning Program.
Ira and Max are a father and son team that have set a goal to complete the marathon together before Max graduates from
Newton
South
High School . Max is an aspiring writer and will be going to journalism school in the fall. Ira is in the lighting industry and designs aesthetically pleasing lights for facilities throughout
Boston as an employee of Reflex Lighting. This is Ira’s third marathon, but his first running for Julie’s.
Colleen and Valerie are colleagues at
Emmanuel
College who came to us through a relationship with Miriam Finn Sherman, a close friend and previous employee of Julie’s. These young, vibrant and energetic women are excited about completing their first marathon and honored to be running for Julie’s. Furthermore, Valerie is dedicating her run to John Finn, Miriam’s father, who suddenly passed away last fall. John was a committed supporter of Julie’s who would be pleased to know that she is running in his memory.
