I'm doing my first 5K on September 23rd to help raise awareness and money for the Melanoma Research Foundation.  A close friend's (Kelly Turner) uncle passed away way too young from this horrible disease.  Plain and simple - cancer sucks (sorry mom, I know you hate that word!)  This is one small thing I can do to raise awareness, help others fight the fight and ultimately find a cure for it.  Please donate if you can...or come run with me!  And don't forget to wear your sunscreen everyday - and lather up your kids!  Check out www.spflove.com which is a great blog written by one of my childhood friends.
