Jon Jorajuria's Page

Thank you for visiting my fund raising page. As a parent of a child with an Autism Spectrum Disorder, I decided to take my passion for Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and use it as an opportunity to help.

With Federal and State budget cuts, hundreds of millions of dollars are being removed from support programs and research for people that are on the spectrum. I am competing to support research that will help us better understand ASD and to better educate those who are caregivers or teachers of children and adults affected by Autism Spectrum Disorders.

Due to issues with my ankle, I am unable to participate in a running event this year. The staff at Organization for Autism Research was kind enough to set up the Jiu Jitsu for Autism site for me. I will be competing in the U.S. Open on Oct. 6th and 7th 2012. My hope is we can raise enough money and turn this into a yearly event. I would like to take this opportunity to thank you in advance for your support and donations.
