MACKENZIE'S ANIMAL SANCTUARY

Pups and Pucks, The Grand Rapids Griffins 4th Annual Fall Walk-a-thon benefiting Mackenzie's Animal Sanctuary Lake Odessa,  Michigan

Pups and Pucks, The Grand Rapids Griffins 4th Annual Fall Walk-a-thon benefiting Mackenzie's Animal Sanctuary

Take a look at the dog next to Griff in the picture. His name is Smokey and he owes his life to Mackenzie's Animal Sanctuary. With their kindness and compassion for animals, Smokey was able to recover from being tied to a porch for 6 to 8 weeks. With your support, Mackenzie's can continue to provide a "home along the way" to dogs on a journey to find their forever home.

Please donate to the 4th Annual Pups and Pucks Fall Walk-A-Thon! You are helping to support he efforts of Mackenzie's Animal Sanctuary, the largest NO-KILL sanctuary in the MIDWEST!!! Your generosity directly effects the dogs by provided a roof over their head, a full belly, top notch medical treatment, and all the love they can handle. Remember, every little bit helps.

Every donates helps a dog:
$5= Rawhides for a month. They LOVE rawhides
$25= Food for a month for a shelter dog. Food is good!!
$50= Provides Distemper Shots for 10 dogs
$70= Heartworm test for 10 dogs
$100= Covers Indy’s seizure medicine for 6 months- He thanks you in advance

My goal is to raise $1000, just a quarter of Mackenzie's goal. Please help me out and donate what you can.

What is the Pups and Pucks Fall Walk-a-thon?

The Pups and Pucks Fall Walk-a-thon is your chance to meet the Grand Rapids Griffins Hockey Team and support Mackenzie's Animal Sanctuary. If you attend Pups and Pucks you are able to enjoy a variety of family-friendly activities including: Hay Rides, Petting Zoo, Arts and Crafts, a Pet-friendly Marketplace and so much more! Bring the family, dogs included, out for a great event.

Four years ago, the Grand Rapids Griffins made a commitment to the betterment of the local animal community by partnering with Mackenzie’s Animal Sanctuary. Since then, they have participated in multiple campaigns to help adoptable dogs find their forever homes, including commercials, print materials, and walking rescued dogs in the Fall Walk-a-thon.

Each year, the players and coaches walk rescued dogs in an effort to help find that dog and many others, their forever homes. They have also helped raise thousands of dollars for Mackenzie’s by collecting pledges.

Our goal at this year’s walk-a-thon is to raise awareness for abused, abandoned and neglected dogs in and to also raise $25,000 for Mackenzie’s future on-site veterinary clinic. The future clinic will function to better serve our dog population in a timely and more cost effective manner. Having our own clinic would enable us to provide spay/neuters, dentals, x-rays, and routine vaccinations and exams. Thus furthering our mission of providing the highest standards of care for our animals, including veterinary care!!!
