I am proud to announce that after only 18 months, I am in line to be promoted to the position of Executive Director of the New England Coalition for Sustainable Population.

I believe this is important and challenging work for me, and I look forward to bringing a renewed sense of organizational excellence to this wonderful enterprise.

Our mission is quite simple: any thoughtful person will agree that any human community -- whether local, regional or global -- should always strive towards sustainable development. Renewable energy, smart economies and healthy agricultural systems are all important areas that leaders from around the globe are addressing every day.

The next important facet of sustainable development is stabilizing our human population. I have no doubt that our beautiful home planet can provide us with all we need if we transition to healthy renewable energy economies and be considerate of our human numbers. Over time, a stabilized human population will be positioned to enjoy a higher standard of living for all, improve our positive impacts on climate and ecology and leave behind the era of pollution and ignorance.

I will articulate a positive message of good planetary stewardship as NECSP's Executive Director, and I hope you will support me.
