Joseph Meeks's Fundraising Page
Hi everyone,
Thank you for your time and attention and for visiting my fundraising page. I've set up this page in order to raise money for Kiva.org, a microfinance organization that allows people with little money but good intentions to loan money to low-income entrepreneurs all over the world. The loans are made in good faith and have a high rate of repayment; they're made at no interest and are repaid over six to twelve months. Essentially, Kiva.org allows us to take money we would normally spend on a CD, a fancy dinner or a concert t-shirt and loan it, virtually risk-free to someone who can use it to better themselves and their communities.
As mentioned, the money that is donated is eventually paid back at a one-to-one ratio; with this in mind, I will take any money donated and paid back to again loan out. My goal is to raise $5000 in two years to support this microfinance institution, with the aim of alleviating some of the injustice and misfortune in the world and to give people a fighting chance.
Thanks again, from me and on behalf of those you help,
Joseph (Trey) Meeks
