OUR STORY:

My father David was born on June 19, 1941 and passed away on March 6, 2006 from heart disease. Dad worked hard, played sports, enjoyed nature and laughed often. He loved listening to and sharing meaningful stories with family, friends, and people in our community.

Heart disease accounts for over one million deaths each year. In 2006 alone, over 831,000 people died from cardiovascular diseases.

On Sunday, June 19, I will be honoring my dad by running the Vancouver USA Marathon (my first marathon) as a fundraiser for the American Heart Association. Help me say "Happy Father's Day" and "Happy 70th Birthday" to my Dad by making a donation to the AHA, an organization dedicated to building healthier lives free of cardiovascular diseases and stroke.
