Josh Holmes's Fundraising Page
As you might know, I have a beautiful little girl (Maura) who has special needs. She's not yet participating in Special Olympics but she will. And as with everything in her remarkable life, she will approach it with the passion and fever that I strive to find in anything that I do.
To get started supporting the Special Olympics of Michigan right now I'm putting my life and limbs on the line doing a polar plunge as an awesome fundraiser for them.
Last year I raised $725. This year my goal is raise $2500.00 (It was $1000 but people were so generous I raised my sites!). Wish me luck and please donate something to this awesome cause.
You can read about last year's plunge at http://bit.ly/lastyearsplunge.
A little more detail about the plunge itself:
The Polar Plunge is made possible by the Law Enforcement Torch Run®, a group of police officers and corrections personnel committed to raising funds and awareness for SOMI. Proceeds from the Polar Plunge support the year-round sports training and athletic competition for more than 17,000 children and adults with intellectual disabilities who live in Michigan.
I have committed to support the athletes of Special Olympics Michigan by taking the plunge in 2010. Polar Plunges are a fun and unique way to support Special Olympics Michigan.
Once again thank you for visiting my page and considering making a donation. With your support we can truly make a difference.
Donating through this website is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to support my fundraising efforts.
