The 2007 LaSalle Bank Chicago Marathon
Thank you for visiting my fundraising page.
On June 1, 2006 my sister Kari was diagnosed with Carcinoid Cancer. In the months to follow she completed 8 rounds of intensive chemotherapy and had major surgery on her small intestine to remove her primary tumor. However, at this time she still has numerous tumors in her liver, for which she is currently seeking further treatment.
I am dedicated to raising money in her honor that will help find a cure for Carcinoid Cancer, a goal that is within reach. Donating through this website is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to support my fundraising efforts. 100% of the donation goes directly to research, and is tax deductible as the Caring for Carcinoid Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.
This October, I will be running my 6th marathon (it will be my 5th
Chicago marathon). I'm more excited about this one than any other marathon that I have run in the past. My excitement is because it’s going to be more than just another accomplished marathon. It’s going to mean much more, as I will be a part of the "Caring for Carcinoid" Team.
To read the story of my sister’s journey since June 2006, you can do so by visiting her blog site that she updates on a weekly basis. Just go to:

Many thanks for your support -- please forward this to anyone who you think might want to donate too! - Josh
