My extended family was blessed this year with the birth of Ava to my cousin Mandy and her husband, Scott.  She is one of the most beautiful babies you will ever meet and lights up any room she is in.

Ava, has also taught us things we (I) never knew.  You see, Ava was born with Down Syndrome.  If you are like me,  you always think about these things but you don't really start to learn more or want to participate until this affects someone you know.

Without a doubt, Ava will be a blessing to all she meets and is well taken care of by her parents and sisters.  Mandy describes on her page how helpful the Down Syndrome Support Group of Bryan-College Station was when they first discovered how special Ava was.   It sounds like a wonderful group and one that I am proud to support.
